The Strategy is now in Motion
Last month, Bill, the owner and founder of Red Torpedo, visited the office for a meeting with the team, who have been working tirelessly to lay the groundwork for taking the business to the next level. Each staff member presented their ideas and the projects they've recently been involved in. It's crucial to ensure that everyone within the company understands where their skills can be best utilised and Bill has always been committed to fostering the development of his team's skills. Gatherings like these always light a fire within us, stoking the passion and love for this amazing brand.
Did you know we are based in Glasgow?
Glasgow—the home of whisky, the friendliest people, and undeniably stunning architecture! We're fortunate to be based just on the outskirts of this vibrant city (though many might not realise it), right between the city itself, and Paisley, with its rich history in cotton milling and textiles. What a perfect location for a clothing brand to base itself! As for quality, those who are familiar with the term 'Clydebuilt' will understand why we place such an emphasis in only the best materials and designs for our gear. For years, we've conducted our shoots in studios or at race tracks in England - overlooking the beautiful locations right on our doorstep. This year, our Summer collection inspired us to do a photoshoot in the city, and guess what? The sun was shining! We captured some incredible shots at Glasgow's iconic landmarks, and we're absolutely thrilled with the results.
The end of the race season is upon us
Another season is coming to an end, and once again, it has flown by. Last month, we attended two events: our first visit to the Malverns Classic in Ledbury and our eighth visit to the Glemseck 101 festival in Stuttgart, Germany.
The Malverns Classic - what an incredible experience! The event was organised by a talented team who made traders their top priority, and we've never felt more welcomed by complete strangers. Despite the challenging winds, the camping facilities were top-notch. The family-friendly atmosphere, getting to network with fellow exhibitors, and the overall success of the trip made it memorable in so many ways.
As for the Glemseck Festival, it's hard to put into words. Imagine bikes, drag races, trade stands, music, sunshine, beer, and a crowd of wild, wonderful people - that’s the Glemseck. It's one of Europe's largest Café Racer festivals, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Yes, the drive there and back is long, but once we're set up, it's pretty epic. Coming from Scotland, the heatwave was almost unbearable, but it was so worth it to reconnect with our international customers and fellow traders.
